Hi All, well after just being given a nokia dbox2 off a friend i thought i would come here and check out how to pay with this thing. Trouble is thereare so many tuts and files and readmes' that i really dont know where to start. I am only used to the kryptview and nothing else so if someone could point a few things out then i would be really grateful. Cheers....

does it boot up fully
do you get fta channels working ok
have you done a scan
what image is on it
can you ftp the box?

Hi, thanks for the reply. All i know is that it was last working fully in 2006 and hasnt been used since. Apparently it used to receive ALL channels, but thats about all i know until i try play with it. I just dont have the foggiest as to what is what. Like i said im only used to kryptviews and as we know they are childs play. As soon as i find out a littlemore info i will post it up. Many thanks.....Comment

Sorry it took me a few days to get back. The box has not been used since 2005. It has a neautrino image on it. It cant find any channels and no FTA. I got this box off a friend, and i know it worked in his area( 100 miles away ). Im guessing i need to flash it somehow, but thats about all i know. Many thanks. ..Comment

The LCD display doesnt work on it, its broken and i cant find a replacement cheap enuff on the net. I have not tried to ftp it or use hyperterminal becasue i dont know how to do that. I do know that it used to get ALL channels and the box does work. Any suggestions about getting a cheap LCD for it.... thxxxxxxxxxxxxxxComment

Ahhh, right, ok, cool and thanks. I think the image said something about neurtino version 1.2 2005 on it. Ive tried scanning in the Wirral area but it finds nothing. Maybe i need to put a new image on it, i think commando is the one that everyone uses. Oh and it uses AMD chips and not Intels, thats about all i know. If someone can advise me of what image to put on it then that wud be great, again, many thanks...Comment

Arrr, thats the problem, i really am a total noob at this and no matter how much i read i just cant seem to figure this box out. I think that this box is that well supported and there are so many different images/files and mods for it that its just too confusing for a mere mortal like myself. Ive read a few tuts, but im still struggling to come to terms with it. I guess ive been spoilt by my very simple kryptview.

Hi, i did a slow scan on freq 6952 and all the channels came up. I can only view a few though, like FTA. Can someone please advise me how to unlock other channels please. Cheers....Comment
