Tuner probs I fink

Ok i'll make this as informative as poss


Ok i have a Dbox here I have flashed it with 3 different firmwares and still it wont scan.......it says no transponders found excucte a scan


I have set location etc.......My honest opinion is that the tuner is ~~~~ed..........Is that easy 2 get fixed and how much etc

Hi 8,

Download dbox bootmanager(available in downloads) and post a boot log(you will need a null modem cable) and we will be able to check if the tuner is registering.

The usual thing that goes in the tuner is the BFG94 transistor, I purchased 5 of these from RS online for about ?5 as they do not sell single and it works out cheaper to buy 5 than it is 1. Its quite a fiddly job but can be done and it is a lot cheaper than going down the new tuner route, as these work out very expensive. There is a good tutorial on youtube which will talk you through from start to finish, good luck....
