New Here - having trouble with channels?

    Hi All

after alot of research i have re-flashed my dbox myself with the Commando image - i now have a list of all the channels which i didnt before but only the FTA ones work

on the others on the EPG there is a yellow key symbol - assuming they are locked. Any ideas on how i 'unlock' them

u used ifa image flash assistant - u really need to set up a ftp connection using a ftp program like flashfxp, once done u can transfer necessary files between pc and box....

you need to make sure its the latest image after the cc hit for all channels.

Yes, blade quad works well on sagems. GBOX will still not autoupdate, you have to turn it onto evocam and it will do the keyroll, then there is a feature on blade quad (press blue to get in the menus) this allows you to transfer the keys from evocam to gbox. Then you can turn on gbox again and it will work.

But first leave you sagem on evocam, you might be lucky and it will not "chirp", sagems are prone to getting chirpy sounds from them, gbox fixes this on a lot of them, but if evocam works just use it.

Many sites will not allow posting of images with keys etc in them, but you can find them on 4shared.com - free file sharing and storage type sites.

Yes just ftp the k*ys to var/k*ys overwriting the existing ones then reboot the box then leave it on a blank channel for 5 mins.

                        hi again...
i've tonight tried to follow the steps n the link provided by gizmo.1484 but when it tries to connect to my dbox the connection fails and times out

to get the IP address of my box i went in Setting --> network --> and noted down the number from where it said IP address

                        Any ideas?

i have my dbox powered on and connected to my router via ethernet cable

                        Majorly Stuck

You should try changing the I.P address of the dbox to 192.168.2.102 and set your pc I.P to 192.168.2.101 that might help (I cant remember exactly without lucking at mine, pm if you get stuck I'll try and help you)

you need to know your router IP first, say its 192.168.0.1

it should be something like that.

change IP on box to 192.168.0.xx it can be anything where xx is, but keep it easy to remember like 5 or 10

if your PC is connecting to the net Via your router, this should work m8.
