Have you set up your pc ip address?
Just say your box ip is 192.168.111.023 (subnet- 255.255.255.0)
Then set your pc ip to 192.168.111.022 (subnet- 255.255.255.0)
Then set flp to 192.168.111.023 (subnet- 255.255.255.0)
          User name-root
Password-dbox (If useing commando image then type commando as password)

                in windows

                click on the start button

                click run

                type cmd

                click ok

you will get a dos window (a black box )

                type

                ipconfig

you will get a response simillar to the following

                Code:
                Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

                        Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : home.local
                        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.102
                        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
                        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
the bit your interested in is the "IP Address"

                the example above shows "IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.102"

that is the ip address assigned to the pc I issued the command on

now goto your dbox network settings and enter a similar "IP Address"

I would use for example 192.168.1.103

                then

                Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
                Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

need to be eaxctly the same as your pc's

you will now be able to communticate to your dbox

these settings are mine , yours may differ
