Dbox help needed in Glasgow

Hello everyone,

As per most of the people who post here, I am new to this and I need a bit of advice.

I have a Dbox which, over the last year or so, has started to lose channels. I started losing some FTA channels and others. Yesterday I lost Channel 4, Channel 4+1 and ITV4 so I thought I would get some professional advice on this forum.

I am based in Glasgow city centre, I run a Dbox with a Neutrino Sporster image, date 30.07.2005, Version 2.0. I have done a couple of service scans but no luck so far.

I was wondering if anyone could give me pointers to get the missing channels back - I'll throw a crate of beers in for your trouble!

old img m8 can u connect box to pc? if u want to upgrade?

wot service scan settings u using?

I do have a laptop I could connect to the box - not too sure what cable is needed though but I can always buy one. Also, I don't know where to get the img.

The service scan setting I am using are:
Only TV
Leave Existing
CableUK Sym6887
Fast Scan Off

I have read through the forums and tried to update my FTA image via ethernet cable. It worked but I realised I loaded up the 2x image and my Sagem box is a 1x.
The Dbox now does not boot up and says something along the lines of 'Kein' on the LCD screen.
I have purchased a Null serail RS232 cable but unfortunately my laptop doesn't have a null plug - the USB adaptor doesn't help either!
Anyone in Glasgow with an old school laptop I could use to load up my 1x image?

Turn all antivirus,firewalls off set your network card to 10baseT_halfduplex and use just your crossover and the portable version of IFA it should flash you might have to try it a few times.

Thanks for all your advice - I successfully removed the old Sporster image from the Dbox and flashed it with the newest Commando 12 via ethernet cable.
I have also ran all the necessary updates C12-1-1 and even installed Pacman and Lemmings!
I then chose the 'Glasgow' in the city location, put on the UK Brute Force scan and did a service scan (took about 25min)

BUT

I've back at the exact same point - I am still missing some FTA channels including Channel 4, Channel 4+1, STV, E4, E4+1, More 4, More 4+1 and ITV4.

Any help would be welcome!

You need the magic files m8 to make it work correctly ... i.e keys and roms ... Then bobs yer uncle

had the same problem m8 just fixed it by rescan at a mo house there a copy of Glasgow Services-bouquets files in the download section
