    Virgin+ 3.0 lzma ultraLite

now released for in-house testing on the mothership. Assuming no major defects, we plan on the general release across the boards on Sunday 7th Feb. Watch this space...

    Cheers- AL & Renny

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Manual Update to version 3.0.1 - 01 March 2010

    Fixes:

    1) New zapit by Cydine and LraiZer; Fast or BruteForce Scan with VM-style Bouquets now fully compatible with the new Channel Map being introduced UK-wide. (Still works correctly in areas not updated yet, don't worry).

    2) Revised cables.xml to grab some missing pr0n channels. (thanks to AlcoholJunkie for the heads-up on this issue)

Instructions- the simplest EVER, included in a readme. This manual update is for you guys who cannot, or will not, connect your V+ 3.0 dbox to the web. For those who have- just click on 'Online Updates' in the System Menus, and hit the red button!

The updates are compatible for both 1x and 2x boxes. But they are for Virgin+ 3.0 only, and NOT for peeps still running Virgin+ 2.1 or earlier!! Reflash with Virgin+ 3.0 please, then update...

It's an evolvement of the theme introduced in the Virgin+ 2.1 Image back in August 2008, an image that quite a lot of peeps seem to like, and are still using.

But this new image is infinitely better. Cheers- AL

Thanks AL i think I'm gunna try this as I hide all the stuff in the menus that are disabled on this image. Will the C12 updates work on this or will they be seperate? Will this have on going updates and bug fixes along side C12 if C12 ones wont work?

oh, and does it have themes as I use classic theme ?

          Cheers
          Dave

My old chirpy Sagem 1x has been in a cupboard for the last 2 years as I moved over to a dream. But something made me get it out and try this image. It worked perfectly for about 10 mins, then I got some chirping and lost all channels. A reboot restores all channels but within 10 mins I loose them all and have to reboot. When it is working though the picture is perfect I'm sure my problem is not with this image but with my box. I seem to remember using Gbox helped is this still an option? If I recall correctly Gbox wouldn't AU though. Are there any settings I can change to try and help with the 'chirpy, losing channels Sagem'?
            Thanks

use a gbox img - most allow u to switch to evo if kys roll then switch back to gbox, but i wouldn't think v*m are interesred at the mo to roll kys with the impending introduction of the new encryption

Thanks for the info MetMan, I have just found a 'Gbox support pack' which seems to work fine with this image so I will test using this before switching to another image. So far (about half hour) it is working fine.

Will this have on going updates and bug fixes along side C12 if C12 ones wont work? Yes- ongoing updates, mirroring those in C12 (where applicable)- but seperate entities

oh, and does it have themes as I use classic theme ? Yes- and the 'orrible VM theme, too...

                  Cheers

Is your box stuck in Kein System then? The likelihood is that a USB/Serial adaptor won't work. No problem! Just use Renny's IFA Portable, which is 99.99% effective via ethernet only. Or just FTP the image to the /tmp folder and reflash via the Menu (if the current image is working normally)!
