    DBox2 crashing on Startscreen

    Hi Guys

My DBox2 is running a commando image (not sure what version) but is crashing on startup and stays on the startup screen constantly and remains inoperable with no functions working at all, ive tried leaving unplugged for a few hours - no joy

I want to try and re-flash the box but cant cause i cant use the menu to change the network options etc

Is there anyway of obtaining the IP address or giving the box a hard reset so i can gain access to it

    Any help appreciated

No need to know the ip if you use IFA to flash it as it assigns its own

Tried that, nothing happens IFA does not seem to pick up the box at all, just says waiting for dbox constantly - and the LED just stays on the "loading kernal" display

Its a weird one because the box was working fine, and 2 days ago it just crashed on the startup screen, its not like its incomplete image flash or anything

Im using the old router straight through method, could this be causing a problem?

Could be try the portable version of IFA or have you got a crossover cable so you can connect it directly to the pc.

Turn off all firewalls and antivirus as they maybe blocking the connection.

sometimes you just need to keep trying IFA, as it doesn't work 1st 2nd or even 3rd time. Last time I did it I must have been at it for about 15mins before I got it working.
