CHANEL NOT AVAILABLE ON DBOX2

Hi,
I receive a Dbox2 that was already set with the image. I don`t know if there is anything else that I should do. I plug the TV wall line in TV in and connect the scart. I will have the name of the channel shown and a message : waiting for time. Then just after : no chanel available>
Do I need to connect the box to a dish or is it anything I have to do?

Hi, M8,
you need to be a bit more specific, like what Dbox do you have, what image is on the Dbox and the sort of line you are connecting to.
I presume you are connecting to a cable line, and not just your roof aerial?
Do a forum search, all the info is out there.
Let us know how you get on.

Unfortunately, that all I know and I am a really Newbie, Quick Learner with knowledge in computing and networks. I have the RJ45 cable but do not know where to start .

Hi ,
Sorry I forget. I used a DFT 2100 before at the TV plug. We have no aerial but using the same plug as now and did receive all channels through the DFT 2100 which is Analog. I know that it is not yet possible to have Virgin in the area for example. I just fix a SKY dish and it is positionned anr receives FreeSat. Any suggestions to get the Dbox work?

Do you have a cable feed from nthell/telepest or virgin coming into your house for BB or TV?

Hi,
I have a Tv plug in the wall. I did use it to get channels via the General Electricc DFT-2100 from Virgin. This box is analog but I got all the channels . The Main thing that I do not understand is that when I tried to have Internet package with virgin, they answer that it is not possible through the cable and I needed to have a BT line.
I have a look at world of digital but I can not find a service file for Milton keynes . The nearest will Northampton.

Might be worth scanning see if it picks up anything on that feed
press the blue button and do the setmylocation feature and after it reboots
press dbox,service,service scan set cable provider is set to 6887 red to save and blue to scan
does it find any transponders or channels when scanning.

No Channel

Hi Fergal,

I used to have all channels showing and it will start loading. But after sometimes it will return eERROR, No channel found.

I went your way and I saw that Service Provider was All Uk...

Then I id the the Scan and NOW it is returning after reboot ERROR No Channel. Not going to the 1st channel tha was BBC. Could it be that the aerial can only catch Analog broadcastings?

make sure you set your location before doing a scan just press the blue button check all your connections if waiting for time is on the display it either beens that the tuner is fualty or there is no signal to the box
