    Before I reflash my box

Has anyone got any suggestions I could try?

I have a Nokia Dbox flashed with Gav's FTA with the various files replaced but it has started freezing.

I've checked the signal strength and the SNR is 62000 and SIG is 45000, is this my problem?

If all else fails I'll put blade quad on it and see how that goes.

    Thanks.

You forgot one important reading BER if it's not a 0 or damm close to 0 then this can give glitching and freezing, better to eliminate the obvious first. The signal strength is a bit low so a good way to try and boost it is to get yourself one of THESE and try it, if it doesn't work you can take it back under their money back guarantee

Thanks, BER is fluctuating alot Max is 200 and Min is 0. Its moving between 20-120 at the moment. Would that booster help this?

I'm assuming with the Min being 0 then its actually hit 0 and this is when the glitching occurs?

      Cheers

edit : Just reread the above and my BER reading is meant to be low isn't it.

Yes mate, try the booster and check the line undo everything and check it tighten it up properly. Have you changed anything? And are you using proper CT100 or RG6 didgital quality cable?

Cable is the one fitted when NTL installed it.

I've just checked all my connections and the one into the wall whilst I wouldn't say was loose, it wasn't tight either. I've tightened it and although its not made any difference to the signal readings the picture seems clearer (although that could just be me) and a quick 20 minute watch hasn't produced any problems.

          Thanks.

              Erm.... its fixed.

I think the morale of this story is that if something isn't working, check its plugged in before asking daft questions on an internet forum

              Thanks anyway.
