a friend got talking with a sky engineer recently and was told vm have bn adding devives to connections in the street that reports back to them when a signal is pulled down the line can anyone shed light on this.

hope not or bang goes usin dodgy modems as well .

theyve always known what goes down the line/thats why talkback was cut on our boxes

Having worked for VM surveillance network team for many years
the only way they would know is if they tracked your account

it is impossible for them to check everyones account at once

on the other hand if they put say your post code in
and then your house number

and click on the boxes which should be working in your house then yes they can see what you are watching and see when you have turned the channel over.

if you do have a dodgy box these dont talk back so would show nothing which would look like your box is turned off.
