Hi

Just need some quick advice.

My brother accidentally threw away the original virgin media box that we got with Virgin a few years ago. We have been using the dbox since and now that the dbox is finished, we want to pay for service for virgin.

What do I do? Shall I purchase another virgin box? Will it work in my house? What if I call virgin, can they send me another box? Does each box work in every house, but depending o the card?

welcome to dk m8, they will charge you ?250 ish for a new box we had a post like this not long ago, i have seen them on carboots but if u get one you will have to ring them to pair your card with it, and i think an engineer will have to come out to do it. they wont send you a new box unless you pay for it.

You could go for a new package (like hd), that would then require a new box anyway. I doubt very much they'd want the old one back.

Usually after a year the box is yours anyway, as already stated just either ask to upgrade your package,or tell them you require a new box to receive HD tv they may just send you one as a customer fix and charge you an extra ?5 per month, either of these ways will be cheaper...chuck
