Help needed PLEASE

A friend as just given me a dbox which has a Triolgy image on it.
It sates that the image is AU fixed but it is only getting the FTA channels.
I have done a rescan etc but still no luck.
I am not sure if it is a Dbox 1 or 2 so do not want to change the image also the image seems very stable with a good picture etc and no chripping so would prefer to keep the image on it.
I believe going by the AU fixed listing when the box starts and the text comes on the screen that it is a auto updating image but as stated only getting the FTA channels.
I have the latest keys I believe and will try and put them in manually if I knew how, as cant find the right menu on the controls etc to get into the menu to change them and what to do to edit and save them.
Can someone help me out here as it is a longtime since I had anything to do with a dbox?

Hi,

I use my PC for cable just now but I will try to remember what I used to do.

I would recommend getting the latest AU bins for the DBox. The best place for me to get them was thechatterbox.cc toolbar. FTP these onto the box using a crossover network cable.

With the correct AU files on the box the channels should start clearing.

I would do that but having problems conecting the box to PC.
Was thinking of installing a new image using a null modem cable but cant open the box to see if its a 1 or 2 chipset and not sure what image has the full keys and cams with it anymore or where to get it from.

Try the download section here mate. Have a look at the software relating to your box.

Try going to sky sports 1, press blue button and restart the emu, not sure where the actual option is but it will be in the blue button somwhere. When it comes back, flick to sky sports2 then back to sky sports 1. Leave it there for 5 mins. If it doesn't clear the channels, you will need to get new keys/rom files. You will then need to connect the box to your PC via ethernet, not null modem cable.

Whats the best way to connect to the PC (program) any help on that would be good.

I have reset the emu but there are about 5 emus in the menu which one should I use?

I have got the keys etc from this link are they the right ones?
