never say never with the box, but if you can store it somewhere i would do as it could be there for a long, long time! and i doubt anyone would be mad enough to buy it off you.and if a major miracle happens then it might be useful but new boxes etc coming out all the time.
nagra 3 as been used in some parts of the world for sometime and no one as ever cracked it (and doubt will) and even if did they would roll something else out

c/s on cable as been mentioned but very touchy one that and still in early stages.and yes the box will be just like fta ...bbc,itv etc and couple others maybe nothing exciting.

you really need ask yourself "what do i want from watching tv?"... sports, films etc.as i alwayst felt sky was so poor for films (same ones all the time and old) and if it sport then maybe a motorized satellite system an option for you.

you will slowly lose channels as they transfer over to n3 a few at a time.until a complete changeover as been complete.some areas may find been left that bit longer as some legit subscription customers have had problems with there new cards etc in the change over.

yes i have been in similar position have had dbox2 for about five years and still ok here(for now just waitng for it to go) put looking into new options all the time.i have always like and enjoyed the buzz more on sat systems.but as with anything it down to the individual and what they want, how much to spend etc.and things move so fast things come and go all the time
