Unable to scan with any image - unable to flash using flashfxp

    Hi guys

Thought I'd better start a new thread on this one.

I have followed all the advice that you have given me but still nothing is being picked up.

I boot up the box, set my location and then scan. Fast scan is on, all transponders is selected.

SNR levels are fine, but after approx 10 secs of scanning I get 'transponder scan complete' but no channels, not even FTA. I try agian with the same result, so I am going round in circles!

I have tried blade and lakey pro images from bigmac and gavs tuxbox from this site all with the same result, quick finish to the scan and no channels found at all.

    Can anyone help please?

I assume its a dbox youve got.

How good a signal do you get?

It should pick up a transponder first then scan for the channels.

10 secs seems a bit quick mate.

Thanks for your help. Yes Dbox2 Nokia

      SNR max 62708 min 61166
      Sig max 45232 min 44975

10 secs is no exaggeration of the scanning time!

Try getting a booster mate your signal seems really low for some reason. Have you split the boxes or are you runnin it from the straight feed?

No straight feed. My v*rgin box works okay but obviously only FTA channels are received.

Where's the best place to get a booster? Maplins?

Those signal readings are absolutely fine.

Maybe the option you are choosing is not correct for your area?

Can you turn fast scan off and do a normal scan only using the 6952 option? Not sure if you can do this but try anyway. You might need to edit the scan.conf file to enable manual scanning, hopefully one of the dbox2 gurus can help out there.

A scan should get all channels, including fta and premium. Don't get mixed up with the channels clearing, that's a key issue, not a signal issue.

Concentrate on getting the channels scanned into the box and then worry about getting a picture on them. One step at a time.

Sorry my mistake i thought they looked a bit low devilfish.

Some of the boxes i have tested gave a better reading than that. Must vary from area to area.

do you have anywhere you can tick for a network scan i leave it on single transponder and tick full network scan on my box

what area you in have you used 6.887 or 6.952 for your symbol rate

Anything above 55,000 SNR will get channels from a scan. Between 62,000 and 64,000 is optimum readings but that signal should be ok for all channels I would think.

Then again, the hardware of the box could be faulty and then you're stuffed.

Hi guys. Tried 6954 fast scan off. Scanned 188 transponders but no channels found.

Should I try 6887 with fast scan off?

I really think you need a booster. Argos does them mate. Make sure youve got all the connectors you need though.

hi i use laky pro. And you have to scan all regions not just for yours. Takes about an hour to scan. And ya get all channels. I think ya have to change rom 11 though to get premium channels. Long time since i done it thoug. Make sure you dont do a fast scan coz ya get nowt
