    need help....dbox2 u-boot

Reflashed my dbox2(didn't realise the dog had knocked the cable out) scanned and got all channels, ftp'd the rom files, rebooted and the box hangs on boot screen, lcd shows u-boot, Ive tried reflashing with various ifa proggies but to no avail, I know thier nearing the end but I'd like to squeeze the last drop out of my faithful dbox2 , any ideas guys on how I should proceed ?

try it again. it works 99% of the time if you're flashing with the correct image.

M8, I've tried it a load of times, I've been flashing dbox2's for yrs, never had this issue IFA will not flash an image to the box regardless of which version I have tried

Have you set your nic to 10base_T halfduplex and give it a static ip of 192.168.1.201
              sub 255.255.255.0
also if you have a nullmodem cable use that along side you ethernet crossover cable and disable any antivirus, firewalls and any other nic's including wireless
if that dont work flash using the nullmodem cable only method.

It was connecting to the dbox, but timing out, in other words not flashing the image ! I have now succesfully got an image on the box, I used Hyperterminal to add U-boot.mot and then flashed with IFA, scanning now as I type but not finding any channels at the minute

does the scan stop straight away or after some minutes? which image is on it? did you 'set your location' via the blue button before scanning?
