x1 or x2?

    x1 or x2?

    sorry, probably a stupid question, but can someone tell me the difference between an x1 and a x2 image, or which one i should be using. I have a dbox2

    The difference is with the chipsets. Some dboxes have 1 chipset others 2.

    Im assuming yours is a 2 chipset mate.

      thxs, is there a way of telling from the outside, or do i have to open up and look on the chips

              The majority of nokia dbox2's have 2 flashchips. Sagem dbox2's can have 1 or 2 flashchips. If you flash a 2x with a 1x image or the other way round the box wont boot you get the message kien system on the lcd. Basically german for no operating system. I'ts not the end of the world if this happens you can recover the box by flashing the right image using a program called Image Flashing Assistant or IFA for short. This information is all in PT1's helpfile in the downloads section.
