don't need a null modem u need a network cable (ethernet)

crossover if direct connection dbox to pc

straight if dbox to router to pc

i did try the way u said but still no luck keep saying ((( pinging dbox failed ))) i tried so many ip 22 after i tried pc to dbox and,,,,,,, dbox to router to pc 2222 with xover

what's ip 22?

if using a router don't use a xover but normal ethernet

ifa assigns a ip address no need to alter that....follow the instructions i sent....make sure firewalls are off and antivirus off

had the same problem stuck on loading kernal happend after a power cut during a flash IFA will sort it just got to catch it at the right time mate

Maybe you can try to flash the box with null modem cable only.

well 1 i have disabled firewall and anti v too
2 unplug dbox
2 connect xover pc to dbox im using xp
3 start ifa and i tried enigma x2
4 press ok
5 plug dbox again
nothing happen it says loading kernel
m8 i think i well be disabled in next few days spending so much time on that

r u using the ifa i posted - disabled all firewalls, inc widows firewall? - no router? there something blocking ifa......

is it defo a crossover cable u are using as they look the same as a normal rj45 cable on the outside.

if you haved norton antivirus you may need to uninstall it

sometimes it needs a little longer to connect so when you plug in the dbox do a memory dump to give it more time to connect m8

running out of ideas here m8...i ain't dun this but u could change network adapter setting link speed / duplex mode to 10Mbps / half duplex this is in line with the box
