Dbox Freezing

I am posting on behalf of a friend, his box has stopped working. Basically when the box is switched on it goes onto some Babylon screen and it freezes, it then does not turn off unless the power is taken out. I do not know much about these boxes but it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could shed some light onto this situation.

unplug the "ANTENNE" cable, then plug the power. u'll get a message: there is no signal so press "Ok". Try to zap to an other channel using the remote control and always using the remote control reboot your box .
plugin the "ANTENNE" cable and check if your box freez or not.
