dbox 2 no signal

hi guys i have a dbox that wont pickup any channels at all i know my image is good think there could be a fault with the box itself any ideas what it could be and how to fix it please

do you have a splitter
check all connections try at first pushing the cables all the way in, the scart cable too.

are you getting free to air channels ?

give us as much info as poss, will make it a lot easier for us to diagnose your problem.

ok its a dbox2

i have another dbox2 running sportster 1.0 same as that 1 that works fine they are both using same images checked all the basic stuff cable connections etc

its not getting any channels at all wont even find transponders on a search

the sportster loads ok lets me scan but just wont pick up anything

any ideas im thinking tuner problem is there a repair tut for the tuner ??

i hope your tuner has not gone m8, as its a tw@t to solder a new one in, then you have the expense of a new tuner, i threw my old dbox out and invested in a DM.


P.S. i had same problems as your saying, no signal

i did once come across a tuner repair manual for the dbox but lost the file it showed you exactly what would need replacing and how to replace it if you did loose signal completly i cant for the life of me find it again

Try taking the channs off the workin box..and put them on the box thats strugglling to pick the channels up...you mention your using sportster v1.0..thats a old image so you must have ftp.d the keypack over,,,so transfering bouqsxml and service xml over,shouldnt be a prob....but id go with another image,something a bit more up to date like blade quad etc..p.s..youtube as videos on soldering tuners.

what is the latest image with the best report that will work on the dbox2 and the correct files for west yorkshire ex c*w please i will flash with that file and add the correct services etc then if still not going will follow the video and do a tuner repair appreciate your input guys

Try the new Laky image. Copy over k*ys, roms, and the services & bouquets file from your working dbox. Once you've done this; reboot, go to any channel and tell me what your signal is like (press red, then blue).
