    Confusing channels

HI All - wonder if anyone can help. I'm running a dbox2 with Andromeda img 2.0 on VM.

After sorting out a corrupt cable/service.xml, which only gave me cable deutschland, i now have the box up and running.

If i try reloading the channel list & rebooting eventually i get the new sky channels etc but they do not show any picture - i get error channel unavailable - and these have never worked. If i rescan or reset after this they disappear all together and i have to go through this process again - even though the channels show the error.

Before i tear out the rest of what little hair i have, could anyone tell me if:

    A) I'm doing anything wrong or do you think i need to reflash with a different image?
    B) if so any recommendations?
    C) Or would the up to date service.xml for Bolton cure the problem?

    Cheers in advance!

is there a myservices.xml in /var/tuxbox/config/zapit/ delete it

in service - service scan -

what you got on the same line as cable provider

have you set your location via the blue button

      Cheers for the reply GAV

Location has been set to Bolton

      myservices.xml has been deleted

On service scan, service provider is on Cable UK Sym6952, with section scan on and fast scan off.

Again same thing happening - the box was showing some more sky channels and a load of discovery but all with the same error message.

When i tried to rescan after deleting the file all of the 'new' channels disappeared and i was back to square one

Might be a good idea to flash another image on and see if that sorts it as the cables.xml you sorted might still be corrupt.

Try the new image called ### New laky - sylas FTA image ### this may be just the ticket just in time for Xmas. This has lots of goodies to play with.

          Just remember to save the
/var/bin/emu folder and the /var/keys folder to your pc..!!!!!!

            cheers guys

I've reflashed with a couple of different images and copied the folders back over, but i'm getting the same problem with them all.

All the channels say waiting for time and when i set my location and scan - it takes a few seconds and does not find any transponders.

The service provider is set to vm in the laky - sylas FTA image.

            now i'm really stuck!!!!
