    JAFFA

    Hi jaffa..
This was posted on a forum (we both know welll )
I am at work so i do not know wether this works...

    Regarding C&W keys....

If you delete all lines in your keylist.txt then reboot box it will update your keys. Box won't work but you will have some keys in there. Make a note of these and delete them again. Reboot and some will reappear. Look at the two lines you have which are different. At one particular pair it will differ. Now take a pot shot as too which one is different. Rewrite the keys with the digits swapped. If it doesn't work then try it the other way.

    example: 01 02 03 04 05 09 07 08 (this one was original)
    01 02 03 04 05 07 09 08 (this one was second one)

Looking at both lines, i have something different at pair 6 & 7, so if i take a chance and make this
    01 02 03 04 05 07 07 08 by moving the number from pair 6 into the originals line, this might work.

If it didn't then i know the correct one will be
    01 02 03 04 05 09 09 08.
also every time i try this and it is wrong it will create a new one for me and confirm which pair you would need to change.

    Will this work ??

    Cheers

From what I read it is working for some but I may try it later.

all i can say is i'm in the same area as you chris and when i accidentally deleted my keylist.txt last night i assumed that rebooting the box would give me 2 lines of incorrect keys that i could alter, but after 3 reboots the keylist.txt remained blank.
          dont forget my pm mate!!!

Just leave it on ss1 or similar and it will update keylist, sometimes it takes a while, I had to wait 20 minutes sometimes for it to update and sometimes only 2 minutes.

Chris, I have been mesing with this since you posted and sometimes it changes more than 1 pair, sometimes it changes completely and doesnt even resemble the original BUT it did change 1 pair once and I changed it and it worked.

So depending on how many pairs change, it can work but is not a solution, but if you have to wait so long again for your keys then it may be worth trying.

cheers jaffa i did leave it on ssp1 for 10 mins as i usually do but there was still no key update so as you point out i'll just leave it for longer. it would be good news if people could work out the new keys for themselves as simply as chris points out until one of the modding geniuses find a permenant fix.

yeah jaffa i see wot u mean...
sometimes its 1 or 2 pair which can easily be worked out, but other times its the whole freakin key , which makes it impossible.

here is to hopin that tomorrows roll updates quicker
