Hello all ..........again.

Having a bit of a mare with this folks.

Just to re-cap.

I have Blade quad, Sagem Dbox2, Kingston, Surrey area (TW).

As this was my 1st attept at ever connecting my box to my pc, I used Flashfxp to ftp this file into the vars/keys folder, transfering the actual .exe file. Not sure whether tis was right or wrong.

Re-booted - and nothing but the EPG and a blank screen. Then I thought (doh!), let me actually 'use' the autoupdater, so presseed 'write files tab', entered IP, password etc etc... pressed FTP tab.. and still... not much happened.

I've pinged my box and thats fine...

What am I doing wrong guys?.... i'm loosing 'even' more hair over this. Plus the kids are doing my head in..!

Any help in getting my channels back would be a god-send!

You dont put the file on the dbox. You run it from your pc, enter info required and it will write to the dbox itself. You just need to be connected with crossover cable like you are.

I kind of had a hunch that I had to do what you just described but that didn' work either??

I'm using a regular ethernet cable, is that known as a cross-over cable... i'm wondering if i'm using the wrong 'type' of cable... I did manage to ping my box with the cable i'm using though???

Hiya, please could someone point out the obvious mistake I'm making! I've DLed and run the Auto FTP Updater; got the latest keys; wrote a PURE KEYS file; then successfully FTPed the file to my dbox and rebooted. But all decent channels are still off. Probable (I suppose) thing wrong is that when I show public keys the two my box quotes look nothing like what is displayed in Auto FTP Updater for my area, nor do they look like any of the others quoted for other providers. But it definitely is FTPing when I click to because before I started messing about, Public Keys were empty!

FYI I'm running Sportster 1.7+ image. I have ROM11 enabled, none of the others are.

Very grateful if some bright spark could advise, ideally before I miss too much more of the rugby! Thankyou.

1. Why can't I download the file.
2. Can someone direct me on how to connect to the Eurovox in FTP.
I have null modem cable connected and working, I am running WS_FTP but don't know how to connect.

Hi i found this somewhere just now tried it works so i thought i will share it. it,s better then the keymaster because it gets the K*ys and writes to keylist.txt as well i don,t know who created this so all credit to the creator
