d box 2--no password..

hi to all, i'm really stuck with my d box, it had originally been programmed by somebody else and i've no idea the user name and password. i have tried all the common one's etc that have been posted but have no luck yet.. has anybody any got any clue how to over ride or by-pass this i would be really grateful. thanx.

Depending on what image is on it. Generally they are the same so for most images it is.

username= root
password= dbox2

if it is a commando image then use

username= root
passowrd= commando

thanks i'll give it a try. have tried root with dbox 2 but not root with commando..fingers crossed!

another combination in the older boxes was:
username= root
password= dbox

worth trying this too

dbox2 no space between dbox and 2
