What exactly do I backup??

Hi all

I would like to flash a new image onto my Dbox2, but I'm not sure exactly what folders to backup?

I've asked this before but never got a definitive answer!!

You need to definetly back your /var/keys folder or you wont get any channeld

You need, var/keys and depending on your image either bin/emu or var/bin/emu usually the latter, you may not need emu folder but some images dont contain the contents so its aswell to have a back-up

you'll need to ftp into var/tuxbox/config/zapit mate and drag the services.xmls and bouquets.xmls to your desktop or whatever directory on your pc you want and put them back in the same place on your new image. it depends what image you're updating to as to whether you'll need to back up any other files as some come with more pre programmed onto them than others if you know what i mean pal!!
