dbox explained?

i'm wanting to make the move from starview to dbox. i'm a competent techie so am looking to do all the cool junk with it.

it wud be connected into vista media center via s-vid or composite.

i'd love one that could cope with hd broadcasts, what options are there in that respect??

No dbox is HD so you would have to be looking at a dreambox 800 or such, they are not cheap.

Well it's not HD compatible. You can record the HD content to your pc or as you say media centre but the dbox's 10mbps isn't fast enough. A dreambox 500c has 100mbps so would record but still not decode on the 500c itself. Dreambox 800hd would be best.
