DBOX2 Image Question

Hi there all. Just a quicky. Does the image installed on a DBOX determine how many channels will be recieved by a box?.. I used to get some 320+ channels and now only get some 106 after flashing with Sportster 1.75. Tried rescanning a few times and still the same. Any ideas??.

punjabi boy,no i don't think it matters what image you use.I have found that unplugging everything,then starting the whole procedure from scratch,sometimes works.

no the image does not make a difference just try a rescan the next day, you should find 30+ transpnders.

thx so far. it is a SAGEM DBOX2 i have not a dreambox. Also any ideas what cable is for Camberley Surrey area?. 6952 or 6887?...thanks

punjabi boy,not sure about the SAGEM DBOX2,as for 6952 or 6887,use "Bruteforce uk",it will scan both,so it doesn't matter.

where do i get "Bruteforce UK"? have not heard of it..is it a file i download?....and where do i put it?...I can FTP.....any link to the bruteforce fil would be good..I am in the camberley surrey area .many thanks

I beg to differ.

I find some images scan better than others and some don't scan at all. Believe me i have tried them all on a Sagem 1x.

Laky Pro is the only one for me that will find all the channels. Lincsat is a great image but doesn't find all the channels. Blade Quad is also a great image but won't scan at all.

I think this is one of methods of scanning. It is an option in the service scan menu on some images (Scan Mode i think). I remember seeing this in my old images but it's not in my new lasky one.

I guess it forces a full scan or something??

I have found that its down to the area your scanning. I have 3 areas I can scan and none of them have all the transponders in one area. You need all uk scanning. That way you will pick up all the channels from all the areas
