    Is this box a clone?

Hi guy`s, I am trying to update a Eurovox Max for a m8 and I am unsure what type of box it is. From reading the tutorial it seems to be a Blue Box but the casing for the scart socket`s on the back is black plastic and not silver. Do`s this mean that the box is a Blue Clone. I have took this picture of it , not the best I can get a better one if required.

    Thank`s in advance

Edit: Just checked another tutorial and the only thing that makes me think that this box is a clone is the Black Plastic scart caseing. The ribbons are not seperated, there is no Red paint on the screw`s for motherboard, and the transistors have a shine to them.
Infact this box look`s nothing like a clone , apart from the scart housing.

Any help would really be appreciated.

I actually have 2 boxes here, both are identical apart from the scart housing.

I have used UFL Max Blue to do the one with the Silver caseing and it seemed to go no problem, now when I try the one with the black casing it do`s not show dldn on the front screen.

If the box is a clone and I flash it with Genuine software , will I not brick the box?

        clonesafe

if it is a blue clone and you flash it with the normal f/ware it will knock your scart connection out and you will have to connect your box to your tv via rf cable to get menu back up and do a factory reset using 1004 as your pin ,then reflash with blue clonesafe f/ware using dnupman and bin file and it should be ok

how to recover your e/vox max blue clone

your box may be a clone. BEFORE YOU DO THIS FLASH WITH F/WARE FROM APRIL 08 .TO GET THE F/WARE D/LOAD BIGMAQ TOOLBAR AND CLICK ON FILES AND FIXES, YOU WANT THE BLUE BOX FLASH FROM 21/04/08.heres what u do take out the scart lead form ur eurovox and tv

connect a coxial cable from the back of ur eurovox to ur tv (a coxial cable is the one u use to connect ur vcr to ur tv )
ok now u have ur eurovox connected to the tv by coxial cable only have ur eurovox on and not in standby but on

now using ur tv remote scan the channels on ur tv do an automatic scan of channels on ur tv u should get to a screen asking for a code the code using ur eurovox remote now is either 0000 or master code 1004
now u will press menu>goto config>cleardata>clear channels>factory default ?choose correct symbol rate then power scan.once your box is back on flash it with the blue box clonesafe f/ware.

Done these 2 boxes last night. I done the one with the Silver scart caseing with UFL Blue AU Fix and everything seemed to go as planned.
Done the box with the Black scart caseing with Clone safe fix and I got the Downloading is succesful message.
Do`s this mean that the flash has been succesful and the box was a Clone or would I have got that message anyway , even if the box was a Genuine one.

Thank`s for the help with this guy`s , I am more used to Dbox`s than Eurovox.
