    HELP - I've got the dreaded 'Please wait - codes being updated'!

    Help
    I have just flashed my box for first time, did a fast install (instead of power scan) and got the 'please wait - codes being updated', so I flashed again, did a factory reset and then power scanned and still the same thing at the end - please wait etc. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated as been trying for nearly 4 hours now and fed up!

          need to know what f/ware you flashed it with m8,sounds like your using an old one.

              System info

              Hi
              System info says:-
              MODEL: DVB-XC EX5000 TDA
              S/W Ver: 1.0 ST4 JUL 15 2008
              H/W Ver: 2.0t K5 +D
              Bootstrap: v001
              S/W Build: Kuro

              EX5000pvr, software installed v1.1a downloaded from this site recently on the understanding it was most up to date firmware.

              When scanned it finds 289 channels but only allows freeview channels to be viewed all others says please wait, code being updated or channel scrambled.

              Am in Watford, Herts, and using 6.952 frequency as advised.

                  Needs updating mate. System info should read Oct 28th when flashed.

                          we have downloaded new firmware and performed power scan but it says 'please wait - code being updated' again. Should this appear and for how long or does it mean it has failed again? Front of box said 0001.

                          In system info, software date is now 28th October 2008.

                          Have tried factory reset and done 2 power scans.

                              Why 2 powerscans....

                              Yes put it on sky sports one and wait, it will update, takes about 1-2 min Tops.

                                  Thanks for all your help. Kids are over the moon as they can watch Man U again indoors and not have to visit friends.
