Eurovox - support for older models?

    Hi,
I just had a couple of questions about cable boxes as I?ve never bought one before and wanted to clear some things up before I invest.
I?ve been reading posts and have decided to go for a Eurovox box, just because they seem to be the most popular and I get the impression that they provide good support, however if you don?t think this is the case I would like to know your opinion.
I was wondering about the longevity of these boxes, each year a new model comes out and I want to know whether firmware revisions and support is continued for older models. Or would it be the case that if I bought a box, in a couple of years it would be useless. Obviously I understand the possibility that firmware revision might not be able to overcome a new problem.
    Cheers

eurovox and starview are the easiest to flash and cheapest,as for new firmware they tend to release the fixes for the dearer boxes first, but nobody knows anything till they release the firmware, and if vm do use the new encryption nagravision 3 all boxes will be knackered anyway, but u have more chance of a fix for the most expensive boxes (dream boxes) but thats not garrunteed,if u want it just for viewing telly get the cheapest
