    EX7000HD

hey guys im new here so hi to all! =)

ive recently got rid of my starview 3 box to a friend which leaves me with no box. i was considering buying a eurovox HD box but wasnt sure exactly how gud the upscaling was? i have a toshiba 32" lcd hc tv but its not a 1080dp model just a 1080i. with the straview the picture was watchable but could deffo do with an improvement. wil the upscaler on the eurovox show much a difference in picture quality? if not im going to get a starview 4 and a hard drive for the same price as a eurovox hd box! im not rele bothered with the HD channels just would like an all round better picture on all the other channels.

    anyhelp wud be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

I have this box, really made a vast difference on my 40" lcd much better, however as there is only 1 hd channel, bbc hd I have planned ahead with the hope that more channels will follow but who knows!

I have a eurovox MavX and and ex7000. Watching on a 32" 1080p TV I see little difference on standard definition channels between the Mav V (on SCART) and ex7000 (on HDMI). There is some difference but little.

BBC HD is of course superb. However, I have never used a Starview so I couldn't tell you how it will compare to yours.

you need to update the firmware - the latest one can be found here Digital Kaos - Downloads - *NEW* EX7000HD Firmware 12/03/09

turn your machine off at the switch on the back, put the flash.tbn file on a usb pen drive, stick it in the USB slot, turn your machine back on at the switch and it will update automatically. Do a factory reset then a new power scan

I have a Sony 46" and used to have an arnette box with the picture a bit grainy.
Now I have the Eurovox 7000 HD and the picture is much better. It's a vast improvement.

I would imagine you would be a big difference.

                              it is indeed.

in fact it's so easy you wouldn't believe it. just put the flash tbn file on a usb stick, turn the eurovox off at the switch on the back, put the pen drive in, switch the switch back on and it does the rest.

                              easy peasy, vietnamesey
