Cable Connection

Hello ive just recently ordered a eurovox which i think sound amazing.

I know u need a to connect it to a cable line.

I no longer have my virgin media set top box but still have the white coxial cable that runs along the wall.

Can i use this cable to connect up tO the back of the eurovox to scan for channels?

Any help would be muh appreciated!

if the line is live yes but u may need an adaptor to connect it to the the eurovox, plus the box will need flashing with firmware to get it working dont worry tho eurovox are fairly easy to do and the peeps will help u to do it any questions ask in relevent forums namely here- Eurovox

Do you not just put the coxial cable in the the rf input part of the eurovox?

The one i purchased was the 5100.

the end of a vm cable usually screws on to their boxes, on my eurovox its a straight rf in so ive a little adaptor that screws on to the vm cable then just pushes into my box, if u have a normal rf on the end of the cable your ok, u need to get the box first to start working things out.

Yeah mines is a screw on cable at the end mate and if i do need one of those adapters where would i be able to get one?

Cheers bud whats the exact name of the little adapter just so i know what im looking for if my eurovox box rf input is straight through and not screw in.

the connector u require is an f connector just screws on to virmin cable and push into rf in.

It's called a satellite 'F' type socket to coax plug adapter (allows you to convert 'F' type connection to coaxial connection) you need a female 'F' to male coax adapter
