Help with EX1000 SL

I just purchased the box today and ive had nothing but trouble. I followed one of the threads on here, cleared factory settings and proceeded to manual enter the frequency codes. However once doing that i now do not get ANY channels.
I have not ran the firmware yet as i am still waiting the cable. What have i done ???
When i run the quick scan no Channels come up on the running list in the middle of the screen, it just says TP:000
I live in the Glasgow area, with Virgin Media. Symbol rate 6.887

Glasgow is both ex-NTL and ex-Telewest. Do you know which it is for your area?

Yes, its running another quick scan again, at 668 so not long to go. Still dont get the channels coming up during the scan tho.

sounds like the wrong symbol rate could be an issue - I'd try changing that - like I said in previous post, 2 former providers in Glasgow and both could have diff symbol rates

Mmm good point, i assumed it was NTL. Would it helped if i scanned on sym Rate 6.952 also ??

Ah stoopid me. Its working now, and i borrowed a 9 pin from my nieghbour so all i gotta do now is flash it....

I can not enable emu on. i type 1968 but nothing happens.
