eurovox ex5100 pvr wont record

    eurovox ex5100 pvr wont record

    hi to all new on here cant get my 5100 to record just comes up with message hard drive full or not installed ive done all the things all the others have done but no joy its got a WD120 hdd and it works had it tested and it is booting, all blocks are in contact with board and all pins are down ithe box works without the hard drive in but when its fitted it sometimes switches itself off and wont come on unless i remove the hdd driving me mad do i need to update the firmware as i have not done anything to the box since i got it?

    think you need to flash box first

      hi i got my 5100 pvr this week, i've flashed and it's been working try recording the first time it was ok but now try to record it stop after 4 sec, no timer in the corner. In the lirbary it started recording but nothing, i've also noticed that the unit take longer to start up.
      i've power down then up again
      reinserted the hhd, still nothing
      any idea,s please

        i had the same problem mate i switched the box off took the hard drive out then put it back in switched on worked fine after that mate.

        what hard drive you got?i know seagate and western digital work ok 120gb.
