Hi I insatlled the firmware UFL_MAX_V_5_12_08.exe, for my Eurovox Max V 2008, for some channels says "please insert smart card", after flashing all movies are gone, Please Help!

I am very sorry for switching from thread to thread!
However, being a half-witted laywoman from Dublin
, I am really lost: Do I understand you guys right: Has UPC recently pulled the trigger in my region and cut off all the Eurovox box EX5000 PVR users from viewing SKY-channels?
Is there any help for a stupid laywoman like me, or would you advise me to better use the original UPC-box again and throw the Eurovox box out of the window?

My advise is stay as you are for now. When they move to Nagra 3 all boxes "may" go black. But I dont hold out hope as the Sat scene has had to deal with this for quiet a while now

Mutv went off a few weeks ago,then a few days ago,setana sports 1,2 and a few sky movies went so i tried to update my channels which inturn delted them all so i then manualy tune my channels back but im missing all sky sports,all setana sports and all my movies but im getting everything else.
With the news i just seen on the above posts,does this mean for now,i am without my sports and movies ?Is there anything i can do?
Forgot to mention that i live in dublin and i wish i had read this forum before i updated my box becus i would have had my sky sports stilll.Any help pleaseComment

Whats going guys this quote from another forum:
all areas of chorus is working nothing to do with the new encryption in dublin all you have to do is make sure that the firmware you have on your box is fully up to date,
then factory reset your box rescan and when its finished turn the EMU back on then let the box update.Tried this on a "red" box and did not work several times. Tonight input codes manually and worked right away, eurovox V has never stopped working. Is the Nov.08 download suspect ??

Please bear with me as im quite new to this, but I have done a little research on the Eurovox which seems a good boxbut because of the mixed reviews im trying to get some recomendations as to which model to go for - has any one got any suggestions? Cheers for your help

Ive read the above, but just to clarify the message "Please Insert Smart Card" relates to a nag2 switch over for those channels only, and for those channels that say, "please wait... " theres still no keys released and or fixes ?Comment
: your advise is not to disconect the Eurovox box yet? Is there still hope?
