EX5000 All lights on

Hi, I have recently bought EX5000. It's working fine, however, the front display shows the standby light on, the lock light on and the message light on all at the same time. Also the LCD display doesn't show the channel number and whatever shows on there are not whole numbers.
When I turn the box off (standby) the time appears on the LCD and then the LCD display flashes and different numbers appear and all 3 lights flash on and off. I tried turning it off and then on from the back, but this has not helped.Please advise.......Many thanks in advance.

I would try reflashing the box and check its functioning without the hard drive. If all is ok re-insert the hard drive with the box powered off.

i did try reflashing the box but it's still the same. Also my box doesn't have the hard drive. Any further advice.
