How are you sending the picture upstairs?
Are you useing a cable or video sender?

how long is the cable you are using so send the pic upstairs? Is it proper sat/catv cable or just normal tv coax? you may need to get a signal booster, argos sell them and if it does not work you can just take it back etc...

normal TV coax is not the same as catv/sat coax. see here for info Coaxial satellite digital fully-screened cable

A signal booster normally is placed before the catv cable inputs into your digibox.. We tend to use things this as they can be adjusted CATV Cable TV Amplifiers HDTV Signal Booster 220V NEW on eBay, also, Other TV Accessories, TV Accessories, Consumer Electronics (end time 23-May-09 10:12:07 BST) however when it comes to being after the receiver i am unsure about the signal dip after the box, i would think its a case of a shite quality unshielded coax cable, am trying to think now if you need sat coax between the box and the tv... hmmmm am confusing myself now...

Let see if the other guys have any ideas...

I have the exact setup working ok for me, please answer these questions so i can see how yours is set up

how is the coax cable going upstairs connected to your eurovox is it from the "TV" socket?

how do you view the eurovox downstairs? is it through the coax or SCART?
If its from SCART, then try tuning the coax in. I have a feeling that BBC2 might be transmitted on a similar frequency, which is causing the interference

normal coax works from the box to the TV, so it's unlikely to be causing the problem, unless like caveman says its shite
