eurovox ex1000sl

hi all i am new to this forum but heard it was the best for eurovox ex1000sl problems i have bought a null modem cable to try and update firmware the version i have at the moment is from august 22 2008. all the channels have gone off and i cannot figure out how to update the box to get them back on can anyone please help me.

Thankyou i have done everything on here and my firmware version is now feb 24 2009 just got to do a scan now to find all channels AGAIN THANKYOU

Hi guys new to the site and new to Eur*vox. I have just purchased the EX1000 SL. Im waiting on my cable so i can upgrade the firmware ready for when my Vermin network is installed this weekend. I currently have my Eur*vox set up to use as a freeview box in my main bedroom with just the standard outside tv aerial connected. However when i do a channel search i get naff all?!!? Any ideas would be appreciated as im completely new to this. Im in the UK btw. I just wanted to use it while im waiting...... *sob*

Sorry m8 but you won't get anything using a TV ariel.
You have to have a active cable tv line( VIRG*N MED*A). When your cable tv is installed then you can get channels.
***MAKE SURE YOU HIDE THE BOX WHEN YOUR SERVICE IS BEING INSTALLED***

1000sl problems

got an 1000sl the other day, installed the filmware and followed the instructions but all i get is no channels ive tried everything, i live in the bromley area, can any one help me please
