Max V Clone....i think?

Hi One & All,
I think i have a Max V Clone. Here is what i did:
1)Put 30.11.08 Max V Firmware on & at end got "Download Failed" & on Box Display flashing "Err".

2)Anyhow plugged in & did powerscan, 6887 Baud Rate and picked up all the channels with Frequencys correct as my other Box etc. Put on Subscription Channels and saying " Please Insert Smart Card".

3) Took off Cover and there is a Re-Set Button Inside. Pressed for 3 Secs and All Picked Up Channels went apart from about 4-UK TV History, Sky News etc.

4)Tried Firmware again & Power Scan again, but the same. Because i took the cover off the Warranty Sticker is ripped now and even tho this box seems useless, the supplier who i wont name has said they cant accept this back.

I know there is no Clone Firmware for Max V, But are there any tricks out there i can try that anyone else can share please as i dont want to chuck in the bin. Probably the only Channs i get are Terrestrial.

if your other box is a eurovox try putting a channel data file from it to the problem box and see what you get

I tried that and it doesnt load it on, just have the same four channels on there. Could it be a setting or some other Scan i need to do? My Head Hurts!!!

what model is your other box and can you view all the subscription channels
what do you mean it doesn't load it on, does it fail during the download what error messages if any etc.
you say just have same four channels, do you mean you can only view 4 channels and the others are scrambled or you can only get 4 in total
try putting cdf file on with the UFL if that fails try with Voxer (do factory default reset first)
or try a factory default reset and powerscan

My other box is also a Max V which works fine. After doing a factory reset and powerscan it picks up all the channels but cant view any of the Subscription channels, infact just a few can be seen like BBC, ITV, Four, FIVE. I then try puting on 30.11.08 Firmware and towards the end the Max V Display flashes "Err" & UFL Displays "Download Failed"

I then turn on and find only four channels listed like Sky News, UK History & 2 others i cant remember. What i notice is these have changed to a different Symbol rate although i selected 6887 before Power Scan. I then Power Scan again & pick channels up as mentioned above although no channels able to view apart from BBC etc. I then loaded my CDF File which is good as ive used it on loads of boxes for friends & im back to square one with only the Four channels as mentioned above again. It seems to default to Factory setting everytime i use the Max V UFL for either CDF or Firmware.

You mention Voxer above, i have never used it before. What exactly do i have to do with it?

Voxer allows you to send or receive a channel data file from box to TV and vice versa (you can also make changes to the file if you want like sorting channel order etc.)
get Voxer here Digital Kaos - Downloads - voxer eurovox 1 . 2 installers

run Voxer/click on File/open cdf file/ and select your cdf file off your computer
then click on utilities and select send service file
you need box on standby connectting to PC via null modem cable (nothing else connected to box)

what does it say in system information... menu/config/system information
