i have taken a hard drive out of a old laptop and i have wiped it with dban but wheni put it into my box i can hear it spinning but if i try to record a program it says hard drive not instaled what do i need to do to get it to work

make sure it's pushed right in

The two HDD which work proper with the Euro are
Seagate 80/120GB 2.5" IDE Hard Drive and the Western Digital.
Although the Seagate seems to be the best.

I just got the 120gb brand new for ?45 on Ebay! This is what the 80gb usually go for.
