channels going missing

hi,
it seems a few of my channels on eurovox 2006 have gone into a blank screen. these include setanta sports 1 and 2, sky 1, b4u music, b4u movies and ary digital. im from birmingham on telewest.

any advise would be appreciated.

Have you done a scan to see if you get them back

did you try rescan or deep scan sometimes providers move channels to different transponders

ive never done a scan before. im worried about doing one because i dont want to lose any channels or mess up the order ive sorted them into.
someone said do a save a channel data file but ive no cables so i wudnt know how to do that.
how wud i do a rescan or deep scan?

I have had the same channels go on my dreambox. Deep scan does nothing to get them back.

I have just had the same problem with my eurovox m8, rescan.. press menu,select installation then fast install, then o.k. you will have to sort your channels into order. Hope this helps.

I thought you have a nullmodem cable dont you?
You should really try to read the reply to the other thread you started as smoggy has explained how to scan without messing your favorites up

No you dont have to resort them read the above link turn autosort off before scanning

last time you were here blondieintown you were inputting keys manually, i said to you it was only a temp fix and now if you scan you will have to reinp,ut all them codes again, may be now its time to get yourself the cables flash the box properly and with the same cables you can save your dumpfile. it will save you having to keep entering codes and save you losing your channel order all in one go

I'm getting 'Service Unknown' on ESPN America, Setanta 1 and 2 and a few other channels.
I have never known a scan to rectify this - unlike 'No Signal' when scanning does the trick.
Am I missing a new fix or something? The TCB toolbar confuses me since they've changed its appearance (can't tell which one is the latest/earliest as all are dated the same).
Can anyone help this newbie please?

Go into channel manager sort the channels to alpha order and check if there is 2 channels the same one will work one wont
if there is only one delete it then do a update channel scan.

There was only one of each channel, which I deleted.
I am now doing Update Channel Scan - will let you know what happens .......
