eurovox ex5000 software problems

i downloaded the eurovox auto software dated 24/2/09. so i put the software on to my box as described. and for 4 days everything was great. but i woke to find i couldn't swith my box on. all it was showing was the red standby light. can anyone help and tell me what has happened. as i've had no cable for 4 days. thanks

ive got the same problem. i have changed the psu and still nothing. not even lighting up. hdd runs, but the box seems dead. i changed to the non-sort after having problems with the sort one. within 24hrs, the box had gone dead. i spoke to the supplier and he told me it was defo not a clone. first time the box has done this in 3 updates.

can anybody help?

if your box is the ex5000pvr and you flashed it with the nosort then chances are you have killed it if so then the only thing you can do is jtag it back to life ,the nosort has killed many boxes

cheers for that, but jtag...mmmm sort of read up on it, but do i need a special lead? software from were?

seen a few on ebay who are asking around ?20 for the privledge. not sure were to start.

you can get a eurovox jtag from here Tailor-Made Circuits (this guy should be paying me a commision) and use the tut i posted 5 up it's not as hard as it first seams if i can do it then you can. ps i put the tsop in downloads
