5000 pvr recording widescreen

hi,

i have a 5000 pvr, which works fine, i set the box to output as 4.3 letterbox, but when i record i only seem to record full screen.

i can't find a option to switch the recoding back to widescreen or is there a new firmware which allows it to switch.
