help needed please for a ex5000

Firstly hi
as you can gather by my username im a female and im stuck.
i have a eurovox ex5000 pvr box but i keep getting a voice over.

i was told i would need to upgrade the box and thast would sort it,but i havn,t got a clue what to do.

so can someone please explane what i need and what to do would be great.

hi , i have a eurovox ex5000 , i have had it for 5 months now n had no problems with it , but i had a scrambbled channel so i updated it . but after it updated i had lost loads of my channels e.g had no sky sports or mutv or discovery channels .i have scanned it completely 4 times since but i cant seem to get any of them channels back, some one help please thanks tom

Hi m8,
Go into menu system and do a clear data/factory reset, then do a deep scan using the correct symbol rate for your area. There are a few new channels to look for now as well.

this is going to sound stupid but how do i know what my correct symbol rate
is ?

if you are in a pure area the sy rate will be 6887 if tw it will be 6952 or it may be c&w i think is 6875
