eurovox problem

hi i have just got a eurovox ex7000 pluged it in and downloaded firmware on to it then it tells me the language. and then the gmt time. then goes to easy install were there is a symbol rate (6.952 mband) etc. and theres a few to choose but for the love of god it will not scan one channel at all . ihave tryed everything spent all day yesterday trying a in the end plugged my old starwiew 3 back in but it is doing my head in were am i going wrong can someone help me go through it step by step or some helpful advice please?

U may need to change the symbol rate to 6887.
Do a clear date/factory reset and set the SY to 6887 and then scan.

i will give it a go. i will let you know how i get on if thats ok i thought for some reson that it was like sky were you have to have extra installation put in for hd

Evelyn 2008 - I have the exact same prob, got my ex7000 box today and cannot get it to scan 1 channel.. flashed it fine and done a factory reset and even tried a few different symbol rates (should be 6.887) but nothing. let me know if you have any luck.. cheers..

think thats it now.. im sure i didnt do anything different this time.. think the only thing i done different was doing 2 scans in a row without changing anything and 2nd time it seems to be picking up alot of transponders.. it still finding them just now at 57% so hopefully will get some channels when its done..
