5100 scramble problems

i have a 5100 and i am new to this

i have,

flashed the box
power scaned 5 times
i have a boat load of channels

so whats the problem?

movie channels

some play perfect like sky prem

others have major drop out on the picture signal strength 95% so i am baffeled

have you entered correct symbol rate either 6952 or 6887

6887 i think it is, i am in Dudley west mids should i try the other frequency

hi,, if your signal strength is that level then its way to high,,it will cause the picture to break up etc,, you need to reduce it with an attenuator to around 80-85

sorry m8 misread your post try factory reset this will delete all channels then do a rescan that should sort it out

hi,,

follow andys advice first and make sure you factory reset the box then scan (i was presuming you done this but maybe you havent) if that still returns a signal of 95 then you will need an attenuator,,, maplins or ebay.

and yes i have factory reset and rescaned several times

i agree i think i need the attenuator

will try a re set again and scan if not i will get the attenuator

just to let all know

got it sorted with an attuator 6db dropped the signal to 85%
