people have reported problems with hard drives over 250gig so you might wanna limit yourself to that, but I've had no problems with my 500gig

I am using a maxtor basics external 500gb usb hdd, occasionally have to reboot the eurovox 7000 hd to get it to recognise the hdd. Apart from this it works well with the box.

I bought one from Ebay. Comes ready formatted to FAT 32 and good price. I was told to ensure the drive had its own mains supply. Link to Ebay seller Very quick delivery. Plugged it in and it worked straight away. No hassle best ?35 i spent in a while

I'm gettin one of these and the supplier said to make sure the hard drive is mains supplied. Problem is I dont now how true this is as I was reading a thread and Karlos was mentioning that he had problems with mains powered HD and then tried one thats not and no more problems. He advised not to get one with mains power. Now I dont know what to go for. Its on a thread somewhere called Ex7000 HD Recording
