i have been looking at the threads on this new box but am still unsure how to flash?

can i still use the old ex1000sl firmware? (which i prefer)

or

do i have to install the new firmware ex1100usb_sep01.abs, onto a usb card? if so is it self explanatory once plugged into the box, as never used this way to flash b4..

hi mate i got the box today and it was a quick setup all u do is flash it with the new eurovox firmware and if the channels don't work go to system, language and press the red button and type in 2520 then u should turn the emulator on (xcam) then save and exit

follow these instructions to get your box working


Downloaded the firmware here>Digital Kaos - Downloads - EX1100USB_SEP01.abs dropped it onto your usb pen drive. Ensure your box is powered off before plugging the pen drive into the USB socket.
Press> Menu >tools >Upgrade by USB, then highlight the firmware file and press RED to flash and OK to confirm.

Downloaded the firmware here>Digital Kaos - Downloads - EX1100USB_SEP01.abs dropped it onto your usb pen drive. Ensure your box is powered off before plugging the pen drive into the USB socket.
Press> Menu >tools >Upgrade by USB, then highlight the firmware file and press RED to flash and OK to confirm.

you dont need to open the abs file m8. just drag and drop it to you pen drive then follow the instuctions above.

does is it work in the same way as the ex5000 pvr (meaning you have to watch the same channel you are recording?)..

You MUST format your U.S.B stick to the FAT32 file system.
Eurovox does not recognise the N.T.F.S system so it will not let you upgrade if thats what you have on your stick.

Re-format it to FAT32 and reload the file on it all will be well.

hey ordered this box and understand how to flash it but if i flash it using the new firmware will i recieve all channels including espn??

yes,

but you may have trouble with the epg function, if not yet fixed? meaning the tv guide (epg) will not tell you what is on all channels if not any...
