    Eurovox EX5100 problems

I can't get my Eurovox EX5100 box working correctly.

Basically, I have no problems at all with the Samsung cable box from Virgin I had in place previously.

The Eurovox cable box detects all channels successfully but the picture is breaking up on most channels. When I reconnect my previous Samsung box (using the same scart lead) there is no problem with the any of the channels.

The steps I've taken to try and solve the problem are:

    1) I've had the cable and connections checked by the cable company who reported no problems.
    2) I've used 2 f plug to co-ax converters but both are the same
    3) The signal strength for the channels is between 79 and 81%. I purchased a variable attenuator which only made things worse.
    4) I've changed the f plug connecter on the incoming cable but it makes no difference.
5)Finally, I've flashed the box with the latest firmware from this site (dated 17.01.09).

Again, each time I can reconnect the old Samsung box and have no problems at all. I've come to the conclusion that it must be the Eurovox box as I've checked and changed everything possible and all works fine with the standard Samsung box.

I'm at my wits end at the moment. Wife and kids going crazy because they can't see their favourite TV programs. Any advice, please?

    Thanks

There is a signal booster option in firmware, have you tried that
SLOWLY, OUR FREEDOM IS BEING ERASED.
SOON, WE WILL JUST BE A NUMBER.
IF WE DON'T FOLLOW, WE WILL BE ERASED.

Thanks guys. Do you know what percentage makes a good signal? The only channel I can get without breaking up is BBC1 and it's signal strength is 79%. Most others are 80% and I have problems with them all.
