Many people are using HD's with alot more memory than that, I myself have 500GB and some have 1TB so its not to do with the size of your Hard Drive.

And youre sure its fat32. Can you record on the stick?
If you've got other stuff on you're hard drive try deleting them.
I remember someone had a post on here saying he created a folder on the HD named 'records' and it worked for him.

Oops! I just disconnected my hard drive whilst it was recording. After this the hard drive was not recognised by the box. Erased all data and now it is recognised at times but at other times it thinks usb is not attached. I have done factory reset on my box now and hope problem get solved

sorted !!! my pc wouldnt format properly to fat32 as i am on Vista and i have a 500gb drive - it will only format it to NTFS due to its size (its a WD drive sold in NTFS.) So i downloaded this little app which allowed me to convert the big hard drive properly to fat32 and all done - the ex7000 loves the drive now!! are you sure you have properly got your drive formatted to fat32 samlen??

will try formatting with that program and do a factory reset and try that
