    getting started

    Hi,
    Im pretty new to these eurovox boxes and im wondering how i get started from the begginging. Ive recieved my eurovox ex1100 usb box today (bought it off Eurovox site), ive been looking at the posts and then looking at the manual it came with and it only talks about satellite recievers, i do know that it works with cable as a few of my mates have these boxes, but i really could do with an in depth instructions of how and what software i need i also live in the birmingham area for code reference.

      Hi m8, Do it like this
      Please make sure your usb pen drive is formatted to FAT32.

      Downloaded the firmware from here>Digital Kaos - Downloads - EX1100 Sept25th Beta Firmware, drag and drop it onto your usb pen drive. Then ensure your machine is powered down before plugging the pen drive in the usb slot, power up. Press>Menu>tools>Upgrade by USB, highlight the firmware file and press RED to flash and OK to confirm.

      Once updated, do a power/deep scan using the correct symbol rate for your provider and leave on S*y sports 1 for channels to update.

      The EX1100 is a cable receiver only and will not work with a satellite feed/dish.

          Thanks badapple, the only thing im looking for now is the sr list for birmingham people seem to need this or am i wrong ive tried to download list from rapid share but cant get the list.

                      i keep trying to download off rapidshere and keeps coming up i need to be a premium user.

                              Your Symbol Rate will be 6.952. If that dosent work then try 6.887.
                              It will do no harm if you enter the incorrect SY number, you will just not pock up channels.
                              Dont for get to do a clear date/factory reset before each scan.
